Our members represent all the diverse facets of cycling, but the club itself focuses on two areas: organized recreational cycling and bike commuting.

On the recreational side, we publicize and encourage our members, as well as their families and friends, to join area group rides and to sign up for organized charity rides. For the latter, the club provides a subsidy to offset the cost of entry fees. We advocated for and now offer for sale Aerospace-branded cycling jerseys, bibs, and shorts. We have available for loan two airline transport cases for members who want to bring their bicycle on travel. Recently, we set up a club membership to ridewithgps.com, where members can share ride routes and completed rides. Lastly, we gather for informal after-work group rides, and are on the cusp of offering weekend group rides for both experienced and novice riders.

On the commuter side, we lobby for bicycle commuters and work with Commuter Services to improve and address onsite bike infrastructure. We participate in fairs put on by Commuter Services to encourage and educate potential bike commuters. Our members act as “bike buddies” for first-time or newer biker commuters, and many of our members volunteer as bike locker stewards. We offer an annual subsidy for a security or safety item, or to offset the cost of annual bike maintenance. Finally, we have bike toolkits available for loan in A1 and D8 to any cyclist, in case they need it to get home.
