The Aerospace Corporation provides retirees information on The Aerospace Retirees Portal.

Aerospace Retiree's Club Luncheon

The summer Aerospace Retirees' Club Luncheon will be held Thursday, June 2nd at the Ports O' Call restaurant in San Pedro where the upstairs Bridgeview Room offers an expansive view of the harbor's main channel and the Vincent Thomas Bridge. We have invited Dr. Wanda Austin, CEO of the Aerospace Corporation to speak. These luncheons are a time to renew connections with fellow retirees and are very enjoyable. Reservation forms will be in the newsletter which you will receive shortly. Please join us.

Facility Access Changes for Aerospace Retirees

After 9/11, security at Aerospace facilities and Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) has increased to address the safety and protection of all Aerospace and Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) personnel. Part of this effort includes implementing facility access changes for Aerospace retirees. The following changes took effect January 1, 2003.

Retiree ID cards will no longer be issued. Previously issued cards will be recognized as a valid photo ID only.

Retiree parking decals will no longer be issued. Retirees will be directed to a visitor center for further processing as needed (e.g., access to buildings, credit union, airport shuttle/travel parking). This does not apply to retiree casuals.

Retirees are not losing access privileges to Aerospace; this is simply a change in access procedures.

Communications

ARC publishes two newsletters annually to the entire membership. These publications are sent to all members in the Spring and Fall. News of upcoming social events are announced with sign-up forms for attendance reservations. Representatives from Aerospace Management present information regarding changes to retiree benefits (health insurance, pension, etc.) as well as the general status of the corporations' business at the annual Holiday Dinner meeting in early December.

Starting after the upcoming Aerospace Retiree's Club Luncheon, when possible, communication to Aerospace retirees from the Aerospace Retirees' Club will be be done by email, including delivery of the newsletter, and by an updated form of this Web page. Retirees who do not use email may still receive the newsletter by physical mail.

Officers

The officers of ARC are responsible for directing/coordinating the Club activities. The officers are elected for two (2) year terms by the general membership. These elections are conducted by mail ballot giving all members a voice in the governance of the Club.
