June 30, 2005 AEA Amateur Radio Club Meeting Minutes

The June 2005 Amateur Radio Club meeting was held in A3/ Dining Room B on Thursday, 30 June.

We discussed the Christmas Party which will be held during lunch time on Wednesday, 14 December 2005 at the Hacienda Hotel. In addition to the usual party raffle we will auction of some of the hardware being surplused by the club. We voted to pay all, or part of, the lunch charge for attendees.

The club's new rigs were on display. We recently bought an ICOM 706 Mark IIG, which is great for mobile operation. Also, we saw our new Kenwood TM-2711, the 2 meter and 440 Megahertz rig.

Club treasurer, Sarah Ostapchuk, N9ZZT, reported that we have $2,150 in the club's checking account.

We voted to buy a new controller for the club's repeater ($600), a new mobile antenna ($450), and automatic tuner ($600).

We voted new wording for the club's by-laws. These can be found on the club's web site.
