July 28, 2005 AEA Amateur Radio Club Meeting Minutes

The Amateur Radio Club meeting was held on 28 July 2005.

Frank Voit showed pictures of the club's new High Sierra mobile antenna. This antenna may be used on many bands. It is tuned by pressing up and down switches. This antenna is the perfect complement to the club's ICOM 706.

Contact Vic Cortez, KD6YWS, about the upcoming 3-day CERT training. There may JO available to take this course. His extension is x67996.

The club's application to the Hacienda Hotel for our Christmas Party has been turned in.

Look forward to our next meeting on 25 August. It will be in A1/1082 instead of our usual A3 Dining Room B.

Also, tomorrow is the W6TRW swap meet at the corner of Aviation and Marine. It is held between 7:30 am and 11:00 am.
