May 26, 2006 AEA Amateur Radio Club Meeting Minutes

Bill Wysock-N6UXW called the monthly club meeting to order on 5/26/06 at 1130 hours. Five members were in attendance.

Bill reported that the club would be represented at Security and Safety day, which is scheduled on June 15th; Victor Cortez stated that he would look for the promo flyer that was used in previous years.

Bob stated that we currently have $7000 in our account discussion on how best to distribute these funds for our club resulted in a resolution as follows:

• There is $2,000.00 allocated to update the equipment at Chantilly. (Vic strongly suggested that the money that is allocated for Chantilly be spent before the fiscal year)
• We will spend $1,444.00 for a new Stepp-IR 3 element yagi antenna, rotator and tower structure, for the A-2 Ham Shack
• Frank had discussed obtaining a new computer for the ham shack, as the computer the club currently has is very old and slow.

It was discussed that this years Christmas Banquet be held on December 12th at the Hacienda Hotel in El Segundo. It will be discussed and voted on in future meetings.

The meeting was adjourned at 1230 hours.
