January 25,2007 AEA Amateur Radio Club Meeting Minutes

The club meeting was held in building A-1 room 1082 at 11:30 hours. A total of six members were present which included President Frank Voit-K3FV, V. P. Bill Wysock-N6UXW, and Treasurer Joe Barger-N6KK.

Bill opened a discussion regarding our AEA funds (the lack thereof to this date). Debra Baldrige (President of the AEA) has been contacted regarding our club not receiving any funding for FY-07. As this is written, there has been no response from her office.

The issue of no HF beam for the D-8 ham shack was discussed. Bill moved to have the new Stepp-IR 3-element beam (that was purchased for the A-2 ham shack late last year), be placed on the roof of D-8 instead. Members present voted unanimously on this motion. Because of new air conditioning construction on the roof of A-2, this new beam will better serve the club on the tower on top of D-8. Joe and Ed Warren-K8RD, will work to install the new HF beam.

Joe will take a complete inventory of all club-owned equipment in D-8 and Bill will do the same for the A-2 ham shack. The finalized list of equipment will be posted to our club web site.

Our Secretary Kirk Crawford-KG6MTE, is asked to update our web site to reflect the new roster of club officers, and to create an email list link of all our members.
