Welcome to the AEA Golf Club Home Page. The
club holds tournaments at least once a month and also schedules several weekend
events each year. This year the schedule looks great, with some new courses to
play and some old favorites to visit again. Two weekend events are on the schedule.
Our annual trips to Palm Springs in June and the San Diego area in late September
or early October will again be featured. The AEA Golf Club schedule for
2010 can be found at: http://www.aeaclubs.org/golf/signups/schedule.html.
As always, the Club is looking for volunteers to chair and run tournaments (as
well as other Club functions). If you see a tournament you would like to chair,
please contact me or any of the Club officers to discuss the details. (Tournament
chairs are permitted two priority tee times during the season.)

| Membership Renewal It's that
time again. It is time to renew your membership with the AEA Golf Club. Membership
dues are now due. Please mail your renewals (and waivers, if needed) to Glen Brewer
at the address shown on the forms. Glen will continue to handle the membership
duties of the Club this year. Please fill in the form, print, and return
with a check for the appropriate dues. The addresses and phone numbers will be
made available to tournament directors and club officers in case last minute notifications
and/or changes are needed for (rainouts or cancellations) any of our events. Membership
Renewal Form In order to control the cost of insurance, all AEA Club
members are required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability Agreement. This
is a one-time requirement - if you have signed the release, you do not need to
do so again. (If you are asked to sign a second one, it is because the original
has been misplaced or your signature can't be read. Waiver
Form After a long absence of writing an annual letter to the Club, I
have finally put one together. It is now is now available online. Highlighted
are last year's events, information on some of the policies of the Club, and acknowledgment
of the members who help make the Club a success. | Annual

| ISGA/SCGA Membership
Renewal As a member of AEA Golf Club, you may elect to join the Industry
& Services Golf Association (ISGA). The ISGA is an affiliate club of the Southern
California Golf Association (SCGA). There are at least two benefits of ISGA membership.
First, you receive an SCGA handicap (for both men and women) or WPLGA handicap
(women only). Second, as an ISGA member, you will receive ISGA mailings and may
play in ISGA tournaments. Weekend ISGA tournaments are played on some of the same
courses as the AEAGC, and also on other fine courses in the Southern California
area. Some ISGA weekday tournaments are played on private courses. The
renewal form is now available and should be returned to our ISGA representative,
Richard Rodriguez, no later than Friday, November 6th. ISGA/SCGA

| Happy New Year 2010
Schedule: The AEA Golf Club schedule for 2010
is a work in progress. Updates (via e-mail) will be sent as courses are added. As
always, the Club is looking for volunteers to chair and run tournaments (as well
as other Club functions). If you see a tournament you would like to chair, please
contact any of the Club officers for details. (Tournament chairs are permitted
two priority tee times during the season.) As some of you have probably
noted, there are several holes in the schedule. If you have a favorite course,
let us know, we will attempt to book it for the Club.

| Distance-Measuring Devices: AEAGC has
adopted the following Local Rule For all AEAGC events, a player may
obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. However,
if, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device that
is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g.,
gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3,
for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional
functions are actually used. These devices and the yardage information may be
shared by players. |
